| KC Filmworks is in preperation to create a fully animated holiday film, "The Little Match Girl". Ive always wanted to make a short animated Christmas film, and this story is perfect for the project. As far as I know, it's only been done as an animated film once, back in 1937...and the version I want to see would be nothing like that first one. (not that there was anything WRONG with that film, it just wasn't how I saw it in my mind.) The way I envision it is much more "Disney-esque" in appearance, rich colors and so on. Below you will find the teaser trailer for my animated version (hopefully finished by Christmas 2004) and any other clips, etc, that I think you may find entertaining...This trailer is the actual screen size that the final film will be (640x480) hopefully available on VHS as well as DVD. Watch the clip, and email me with any thoughts or suggestions, please. |

| Unfortunately, I have recently discovered that the Disney folks have decided to do an animated version of 'The Little Match Girl' in their upcoming feature film 'Fantasia 2006'. Since the Disney animators are the best in the world, in my humble opinion, I sincerely don't see a reason for me to continue work on MY animated film version (which was, sadly, about 50% completed as of this update). I may decide to finish it, but... Veteran animator Randy Haycock has reportedly completed animating this sequence in the Fantasia film, and I honestly don't see why I should continue working on MY freeware/home scanner version, as Im sure my work will look pretty shoddy when compared to that of a full staff of animators and an actual Hollywood budget! Those of you interested in reading more about the upcoming Disney version can click the link below. Thanks... Kevin |
